Journal of Guangdong University of Technology officially transformed into an open access journal under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license in January 2024. Since then, all published articles have been immediately and permanently available for free reading and downloading on the journal's official website (https://xbzrb.gdut.edu.cn). The open access initiative covers articles back to 1994. All articles published since 1994 can be freely read and downloaded on the journal's website (https://xbzrb.gdut.edu.cn), with user rights defined by the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.

All users accessing articles from IEJ must adhere to the CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. This license permits users to copy and distribute articles under the following conditions:

1) Use for non-commercial purposes only; further modification, editing, or dissemination of the article is not allowed.

2) Users must have appropriate credentials (with a link to the official publication via DOI) and provide a link to the license, but must not in any way imply that the licensor endorse them or their use of the work.

This is an open access journal with no subscription fees for readers or libraries. As part of our commitment to open science, Guangdong University of Technology is currently paying all article publication charges so there are no author fees to publish in the journal.
