Yuwen SUN received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Manufacturing Process and Equipment from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1994, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation from Dalian University of Technology in 2000. He is currently a Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Dalian University of Technology. His research interests include NC machining technology, CAD/CAM, robotic machining technology & system, complex surface machining and digital manufacturing. He has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and holds 30 granted patents. He also serves the academic community as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Science and Technology (JAMST) and as a member of the editorial boards of Chinese Journal of Aeronautics (CJA), Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems.

Kaifu ZHANG, Vice President of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Academic Leader of the National Key Discipline in Aeronautics and Astronautics Science and Technology, Tenured Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor. He has long been engaged in research on aerospace assembly theory and technology, serving as the leader of a national-level innovation team in a specific field and a Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Team. He has been recognized as a National Leading Talent and awarded the Feng Ru Aviation Science and Technology Elite Award. Additionally, he concurrently serves as the Director of the National Key Laboratory for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technology, the Director of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Key Laboratory for High-Performance Aircraft Assembly, and the Group Leader of the Key Special Project "High-Performance Manufacturing Technology and Major Equipment" under the National Key Research and Development Program. As the first contributor, he has won one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one First Prize of the National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award, and two First Prizes of Shaanxi Province.

Zhengyang XU received his B.S. degree in 2001 and Ph.D. in 2008 from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China. He currently serves as Vice President, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at NUAA. He is an expert in mechanical manufacturing, holds multiple prestigious academic positions. He serves as a member of the expert committee for national key projects, while concurrently acting as Executive Director of the Society for Non-Traditional Machining and Director of the Innovation Center for Efficient Electro-Machining Technology. His editorial leadership includes serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Science and Technology, along with editorial board memberships at journals: Chinese Journal of Aeronautics, Journal of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Journal of Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics, Mechanical Science and Technology for Aerospace Engineering, and Aeronautical Manufacturing Technology. His research interests include advanced manufacturing technologies, focusing on non-conventional machining and hybrid machining processes. He has published more than 150 papers in journals, such as Int. J. Extreme Manuf., Int. J. Mach. Tools Manuf., CIRP Ann. Manuf. Technol., Corros. Sci., Int. J. Mech. Sci., Chin. J. Aeronaut., J. Mater. Process. Technol., J. Manuf. Process., and J. Clean. Prod. among others.
