2025 International Conference on Historic Bridges (ICHB’25)

Historic bridges, as remarkable feats of engineering and cultural treasures, have played multifaceted and irreplaceable roles throughout history, and have been deeply ingrained in the collective memory of societies. However, these precious historic bridges are now under various threats, such as natural weathering, structural degradation due to age, and the impact of modern development. Therefore, protecting historic bridges is of utmost significance. It is not merely about safeguarding physical structures; but about protecting our shared heritage, maintaining cultural continuity, and maintaining tangible links to our past for future generations.

In light of this, the 2025 International Conference on Historic Bridges (ICHB’25) will be held from Sept. 19th to 21st, 2025 in Quanzhou, Fujian, China, organized by Ancient Bridge Research and Protection Committee in the Beijing Mao Yisheng Science and Education Foundation, Fujian University of Technology, Quanzhou Transportation Development Group Co., Ltd., and Quanzhou Normal University.

ICHB’25 will bring together academics, experts, scholars, engineers, conservationists, and enthusiasts from around the world. By sharing the latest research findings, innovative conservation techniques, and successful case studies, we strive to develop more effective strategies for the conservation of historic bridges. Through in-depth discussions and exchanges, we hope to raise global awareness of the value of historic bridges and strengthen international cooperation in this field, ensuring that these historical gems can continue to grace our landscapes and enrich our lives for centuries to come.
