Dear Young Scholars,

The international journal Cell Organoid is officially launching its Youth Editorial Board recruitment plan! We sincerely invite outstanding young researchers worldwide who are dedicated to organoid research to join our team, grow together with the journal, and promote the development of the organoid research field.

 

Introduction to the Editor-in-Chief

Wang Kai, Ph.D., is a Researcher in the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, Peking University Health Science Center, and a Principal Investigator at the National Key Laboratory of Vascular Homeostasis and Remodeling. Dr. Wang Kai received his Ph.D. from Peking University (2016) and completed postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children's Hospital and Cornell University (2016-2021). His laboratory focuses on interdisciplinary research involving stem cells, organoids, and tissue engineering, aiming to provide solutions for diseases including cardiovascular diseases and diabetes from the perspectives of disease modeling, gene therapy, and cell therapy. Related research findings have been published as corresponding author (or co-corresponding author) in international journals such as Cell Stem Cell (2025a, 2025b cover), Nat Commun (2024), and Adv Sci (2024). He has undertaken projects funded by the NSFC (Young Scientist B, General Program, Cultivation Program), Beijing Municipal Funds (Outstanding Young Scientist, Science and Technology New Star), and Major Projects on Four Major Chronic Diseases, among others. He serves as a member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Association for Physiological Sciences, a member of the Vascular Branch of the Chinese Society for Anatomy, and a Standing Committee member of the Vascular and Vascular Malformations Branch. Additionally, Researcher Wang Kai serves as an Associate Editor or editorial board member for several international journals, possessing extensive academic editing experience.

Cell Organoid is China's first international journal focused on organoids, published by Tsinghua University Press via the SciOpen platform. The journal is dedicated to advancing organoid research, publishing high-quality articles covering a broad range of basic, clinical, and translational research topics related to organoids.

  • Enthusiasm and Responsibility: Demonstrate strong interest in the journal's development and willingness to participate in tasks such as peer review, writing, soliciting manuscripts, and promotion.
