The internationally recognized Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (JICV) has completed its transition to a fully open access publishing model on SciOpen, the advanced digital platform of Tsinghua University Press. Now publishing from Volume 9 (2026), this move underscores the journal's ongoing dedication to global accessibility, technological dissemination, and the promotion of open science in the field of intelligent mobility.

Having completed its publication with IEEE through Volume 8 (2025), JICV is now published by Tsinghua University Press exclusively on SciOpen, a platform committed to high-quality, open research dissemination.

About Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles
Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (JICV) was launched in 2018 with academic support from the School of Vehicle and Mobility at Tsinghua University. The Editors-in-Chief are Academician Keqiang Li and Professor Jianqiang Wang from Tsinghua University, and the Executive Editor-in-Chief is Professor Xiaobo Qu. As China's first fully open access English academic journal independently founded with intelligent vehicles as its theme, JICV publishes high-quality, original research and reviews on all aspects of intelligent and connected vehicle technology. It aims to serve as a premier international platform for scholars worldwide engaged in intelligent vehicle and traffic-related research. The journal is indexed in ESCI, Ei Compendex, Scopus, Inspec, DOAJ, ProQuest, and other major databases. It is recognized as a T1-level high-quality scientific journal in both automotive engineering and highway transportation journal grading directories in China and was selected as a high-starting-point new journal project under the "China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan" in 2023. In 2025, it received its first Impact Factor of 7.8, ranking 10th among 77 journals (Q1) in the "TRANSPORTATION SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY" category.
